Get to know Sean Evans California and some of his business entrepreneurship achievements

Meet Sean Evans Carlsbad, California and some of his business entrepreneurship ideas: Sean Evans has been a serial entrepreneur practically his whole life. His first company was started during his second year of attending business school in Oregon. Sean sold that business and leveraged the profits from the sale to move to the warmth of Southern California – all at the age of 25. Sean moved to pursue two things; First, life in a warmer climate. Second, Sean was pursuing his next ventures. Sean is currently based in San Diego. He tells people all the time – San Diego [California] has everything anyone could want in a big city and nothing you don’t. There’s the big city vibe. Then also the safe community feel of Little Italy or Coronado Island. To Sean, San Diego truly is a great city! San Diego cultivates entrepreneurs and combines a surf culture mentality with hard work and ingenuity. Not to mention the 78 degrees and sun year-round. Q: When you were starting out, was there ever a time you doubted it would work? If so, how did you handle that? The partners and I were skeptical of our own idea for a wine drinking social media platform. At the beginning of MyWineSociety’s inception there was a lingering doubt if it would be a great idea to develop. Luckily, MWS is faring well! It was our passion and love for wine that pushed MWS to the level it’s at today. How did you get your first customer? My Wine Society’s first customers came from wine conventions. When we launched the My Wine Society wine subscriptions we found an even larger base of customers to grow our business with.

Q: Can you tell our readers what it is about the work you’re doing that’s disruptive? When the pandemic hit, the medical supply industry was turned upside down. We have been able to make some meaningful and lasting relationships by providing gloves for hospitals, governments and frontline workers when they needed it most. We hope to continue those relationships long into the future! Can you share a story about the funniest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that? We made the mistake of accepting credit cards for wholesale accounts. Early on we sold a fairly large order, I think it was $30,000, to a new customer and allowed them to use their credit card. We arranged shipping and sent the goods up to Canada. As soon as they got the tracking info, they called the credit card company and reversed the charges. We never saw the money or the product again unfortunately. But we quickly learned to only accept wire transfers for new customers!

It helps you become more self-aware – you get to know who you are – your values, beliefs and the purpose you wish to pursue. This is the first key step in the personal development process. When you are chasing your own goals, there is as much pleasure to be derived from the journey as there is to be derived from reaching your destination.

The growth of a business entrepreneur leader : Sean Evans California: The role of family offices has changed in the last 20 years, driven by the proliferation of wealth and dramatic increase in the number of millionaires, centimillionaires and billionaires around the world. There also has been a surge in the number of family offices and more sophisticated investors. This new breed of ultra-high-net-worth families in the GCC differs from the “old money” of the past. Their accumulation of wealth is typically more rapid and driven by savvy investment management or entrepreneurism. Many of those joining the ranks of the ultra-high-net-worth include money managers, former hedge fund managers and folks who generated their wealth in private equity. This represents a large population of sophisticated investors with deep networks in the startup and entrepreneurial community who are sitting on tremendous wealth (some estimates put family office total asset value around $6 trillion globally).

The pressure definitely is on choosing the right place. Incorporating in a wrong jurisdiction with unsuitable policies can cost you severe consequences and a waste of resources. That’s why thorough planning and research is a must (or at least the right consultation from the real professionals). Corporate giants do this all the time. Apple, Samsung, Google, Berkshire Hathaway, they all have established offshore companies as their subsidiaries in many countries all over the world. Making use of favorable policies while still complying with them, these giants legally reduced their payable taxes by a significant amount.

Meet Sean Evans Carlsbad, California and some of his serial entrepreneurship thoughts: Given that you cannot live long without money and that your new business will not become profitable from the beginning, it is preferable to start in business while you still have a job and a stable source of income. This will give you a form of comfort and will help you focus on the vital aspects of business development and not just on providing some money for your own survival. Once the business starts to become profitable and you take on more and more time, you can resign. The existence of a support system both during the start-up period and during its development is very important. Try to find support within your family and consult with them when you want to make decisions and need advice. Ideally, you should find a mentor to offer you from his experience. To do this, you could register your business idea in one of the training and consulting programs implemented through European funds such as Entrepreneur 2.0.
